On today’s episode we proudly feature Cali Lewis and Neal Campbell of the very popular Geekbrief as our Celebrity Tech guests.  Cali and Neal talk about their current tech obsessions; Qik and the Kindle. We take a look at a site I have been obsessing about called Viddler.

• ~ it is addictive (in a good way I hope …. because I am hooked FTW)
• ~The Community is Awesome (meeting fellow Podcasters (felt even better saying that)  and Viewers is what I love the most about it)
• ~Hard work yes …. worth it in the end… Definitely!
• ~I like that the podcast can be what I want it to be… something very liberating (@ times overwhelming) about deciding everything  (content, research, time, length, shots, guests, promoting etc..) and being able to change it up when needed
• ~In many ways the whole thing was new to me (the tech I knew- but the production side (on camera and off was VERY new to me… and when I watch (or listen) to seasoned podcasters… I see just how new it still is to me)

In addition to the above grand discoveries about podcasting and myself… I have acquired an exponentially expanding skill  set of what buttons to push, what settings work, audio tips, shooting styles, format styles, content creation ideas and a better understanding of what obsessedwithtech means to me.  Once again I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this discovery and by extension helped shape the path of this show.  I also would like to send a special thanks to those who have gone the extra mile for our podcast this year:

“A celebrity is a widely-recognized or famous person who commands a high degree of public and media attention”.  I will add to that definition those that garner our respect in a particular field.

Starting next episode we will  introduce a new segment for the show that I am very excited about called Celebrity Tech.  In the segment we will ask “celebrities” just one question,  What tech are you obsessing over right now?  We will start with our tech community and branch out from there to entertainment, sports and political celebrities.

So… on to the details.  I have started to send out the first batch of emails to prominent members of our tech community asking them if they would be willing to answer the question for us.  I asked if they would provide any of the following:  a picture and quote, a short audio clip, a video clip, skype interview or other of their choice.  So far the response has been overwhelming.  I have received responses from over half of the emails I sent out.   Most of those who have replied have agreed to be a part of it (a few have said that now is not a good time… but in a few weeks or so they would).   The kindness of individuals in our tech community has overwhelmed me to say the least.  I can’t even begin to imagine the work load they have … and for them to take time out to do this speaks volumes about them as individuals.
